Best Ways to Celebrate Father's Day This June
Category News
We all love our dads and want to celebrate everything they’ve done for us over the years, but finding the right activities to enjoy together as a family can be hard. Dad’s have their own ideas of fun after all. Here are our five favourite ideas for Father’s Day activities to enjoy together and give your dad the day he deserves;
Sunday Lunch
For some, this may seem like an obvious choice. Enjoying a wonderful lunch with dad on a lazy Sunday afternoon, whether you decide to take him out, cook him his favourite meal, or let him show off his braai master skills, it’s sure to be a meal he will enjoy. Especially if he gets the choice.
A Beer Run
Not quite what you’re thinking. For dads with children over 18, why not enjoy a beer tasting experience with a variety of new and locally made craft beers? There are many places that offer beer tasting specials with a wide variety of different and well-made craft beers. You never know what you may find, but sharing a ‘cold one’ with family is always special.
Take Him to the Tracks
If your dad lives for speed, then a day at the race track is right up his alley. Whether it’s the Kyalami Race Track with fast sports cars to rent for the day or the go-kart tracks to race with the whole family, this is a father’s day activity for any speed junkie to thoroughly enjoy.
Challenge Him to a Showdown
Nothing speaks louder to dad’s sense of fun than a friendly competition of skill. Take your dad out to a paintball range and challenge him to the ultimate friendly showdown. Paintball is not only fun for a large family but also a great work out for everyone.
Head to the Amusement Park
No matter how old our fathers get, they will always be playful at heart. Take dad and the family out for a fun-filled day of roller coaster rides, candy floss, and bumper cars. Let his inner whimsy shine as he chooses the next adrenaline rush. Enjoying time at the amusement park is full of laughter and shouts of joy has something for everyone and brings you closer together as a family.
Although our dads should be celebrated and loved all year round for all the wonderful, loving, and even stern moments they gave us growing up, there’s only one day dedicated just to him. So treat him to the best day he will treasure forever, just as you treasure all the little things your dad has done for you.
