Festive Outdoor Home Decorations

Category News

Christmas is a time when family and friends come together to celebrate the past year together,  and look forward to the year ahead. One of the most fantastic activities leading up to the big day is spending time with the kids setting up the decorations. Making decorations with  children is always great fun and a wonderful bonding experience for all, but why only focus on the inside of your home? Here are our four favourite outdoor decorations to make with the kids before Santa arrives.

Log Snowmen:

Many of our favourite Christmas films depict days of fluffy white snow falling gently from the sky and building snowmen in the backyard. Just because that's an unlikely situation in South Africa,  it doesn't mean we can't get creative and make adorable man-made circles gracing our gardens. Mason Jar Fairy Light:

With our warm weather, Christmas dinners outside are a wonderful idea that many families thoroughly enjoy. Why not use these easy-to-make and adorable Mason Jar and Fairy Light Lamps to add a little bit of festive magic to your garden. Gifts at the Door:

Nothing says "Festive Celebration" like a chic patio design or enchanting entrance decorations.  We think that some of these faux Christmas gifts may just be the best that we've seen in a while. These gift decorations are so simple and inexpensive to make, that you'll want them at every entrance in your home. Blue and White Olive Holiday Wreath:

Wreaths seem to be becoming a festive staple in South Africa with hundreds of creative ideas and colours to suit any personality and home decor. We fell in love with this white and blue olive wreath for its simplicity and stylish textures. With so many options and styles available for DIY Christmas decorations available for the whole family to enjoy, getting your creative craftiness in full swing these holidays should be a breeze.
