In Malcome Gladwell’s second book ‘Blink’ he describes how we have the ability to use limited information from a very short period of time to come up with a good conclusion. This suggests that the spontaneous ideas are often as good as or better than the planned ones. He calls this Thin Slicing.

This concept applies to business and relationships but we also know how difficult it is to decide if you are buying the right property.
Here are some tips:
- Ask the right questions
- Allow yourself to be calm and trust the first feeling you get
- Ask questions if something is bugging you, if you have a good estate agent they will know all the in's and out's of the property
- Go back to view the property again but always remember the first gut feeling you had
- Ask someone you trust to view the property and find out what their gut feeling is
