Move into Spring...

Category Buying & Selling Tips

Ah, spring: what better time could there be for a change?!
The birds are doing it, the bees are doing it... no, not that. They are taking advantage of the literal revival of the earth for a new season of growth, and changing their homes, and we’re here to tell you why you should too.

5 Reasons why it’s a good time now!

Make a fresh start
The boom that the market experiences in spring as many people prepare to make a fresh start, mean that it is the ideal time to be looking at buying or selling a new home.

People are buzzing
Agents are motivated, people are eager to take advantage of the warmer days to make changes that they’ve put off all winter, gardens blossom, and options broaden as the days do. These advantages are not to be overlooked. People’s productivity sharply increases after our winter hibernation away from DIY projects, and we can take advantage of the mild weather to do these projects in preparation for a glorious hot summer in our new homes.

A spring clean is good for heart and home
Moving is the ultimate spring clean, and as any home owner knows, the amount of overlooked (or overly sentimental) rubbish that we accumulate is staggering. The only time we become truly brutal about overhauling this is when we are confronted with the prospect of lugging it onto our next adventure. Psychological studies show that the mental benefits of discarding physical baggage, as well as a change of environment and a “new start” are incredible. People feel like a new page has turned and a fresh chapter is about to begin, one where they can leave behind both the clutter and memories created in an old environment, moulding and creating a new one for the next level of growth and development in their lives and relationships.

Streamline your life
As much as people change, so do our lifestyles, and we often find ourselves remaining in a home that no longer suits our work commute and morning school run, nor accommodates our ever-growing families and hobbies. Often the perceived effort of moving seems daunting, but it is actually an analogy for the lazy rut that our lives have fallen into, one where everything is kind-of-okay, but in reality not close to functioning as the easy, fun, and productive atmosphere it could be if we only took a little time and energy to tackle it. Enter: spring.

Create the new you!
For one small period of discomfort, one that the planet goes through every year, you too could be blossoming into the next and best version of yourself. If the birds can do it, if the bees can do, then you can surely do it too!
