What To Plant For Spring To Get Your Home Ready To Sell
Category News
Every seller wants to sell their property quickly and for the best price. But getting your property ready to sell is not always easy as it takes time and effort and may mean some financial outlay.
As the garden is one of the first things a buyer will see, you'll want it to create an impression, be eye-catching and make them feel excited about seeing the rest of your property.
Tidy Up The Garden
Be sure the garden is spick and span:
- Pull out the weeds, rake up any leaves or debris, remove any dead or diseased plants.
- Loosen the soil in your flower beds to get them a fresh, cared-for look or spread mulch around your plants for a neat and tidy effect.
- Remove the last of the winter vegetables, uproot any winter plants and loosen the soil.
- Lightly prune your existing trees, plants and shrubs.
- Clean and tidy up the driveway and paths and kerb.
Now that your entire garden is tidy, you should walk around it as if you are a prospective buyer, and identify any gaps or spots where placing a colourful plant, shrub, container or hanging basket will add impact and appeal.
Plants For The Garden
For instant dramatic and attractive allure, ensure there is lots of pretty colour in your garden. Hanging baskets and containers may seem costly now, but they can be taken with you when you move into your new home. For an instant makeover, purchase plants from your nursery that are ready to plant.
